On 12 September 2011 the International Chamber of Commerce (the "ICC") launched a revised version of its Rules of Arbitration.
The Rules have historically been widely used in international trade, construction and energy disputes and are, in our experience, being increasingly used in banking, financial services, sport, intellectual property and other complex commercial disputes. The new Rules update the current 1998 version and will enter into force on 1 January 2012.
Hogan Lovells invites you to join our pan-Asian panel of arbitration practitioners, based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, for an evening seminar to learn about the innovations introduced by the new Rules. We will also discuss how their general and flexible approach to procedure makes them adaptable to different types and scales of disputes, and to parties from different legal backgrounds.
However, if you are not able to join us in Hong Kong, we invite you to join our seminar remotely from your home/office desktop by WebEx.
Hogan Lovells is a co-author of The Annotated Ordinances of Hong Kong by LexisNexis on the new Arbitration Ordinance to be published in due course.
