Recent reforms in China to promote foreign investment

On October 24, Miami Partner Gaston Fernandez gave a presentation in our Washington, D.C. office on "Recent reforms in China to promote foreign investment," as part of an event organized by the firm China Desk. The presentation summarized a number of legal and regulatory reforms in China enacted this year to further open key sectors of its economy to foreign investment, particularly in the financial services and insurance industries. The reforms are part of China's response to ongoing trade and investment negotiations with the United States.  The presentation was well attended by members of the business and legal community, as well as correspondents from Fox News and Xinhua News.
