Navigating cybersecurity in the energy and natural resources sector
Any organization can be the target of a cyberattack, regardless of industry, size, or geographic footprint. Energy and natural resources companies face unique challenges when developing a cybersecurity incident response plan and need to consider infrastructure security, systems integrity, client data, and technological resilience.
On Thursday, November 14th we will host an interactive program where we will go through a hypothetical data breach and cover the following:
- Overview of today’s cybersecurity threat landscape
- The critical importance of C-suite and board-level oversight of cybersecurity programs, policies, and procedures
- Practical considerations before, during, and after a cybersecurity incident
- Unique cyber legal issues for energy and natural resources companies
- Post-breach regulatory examinations and litigation
Our program will feature Peter M. Marta, a partner in our New York office who was previously the global head of cybersecurity law at JPMorgan, and energy and natural resources industry lawyers Andrew Lillie and Jessica Black Livingston.
This program will provide participants with a greater understanding of cyber risk, a roadmap of the key touch points and responsibilities within your organization, and a framework for building a successful incident response plan.
