On February 24 and 25, 2015, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division held a second installment in a workshop series titled: “Examining Health Care Competition.” The two-day program featured top agency officials, academics, and health policy experts, who spoke on a series of panels that addressed topics that included:
- developments in ACOs and health insurance exchanges;
- alternatives to fee-for-service payment models;
- trends in provider consolidation; and
- changes in provider network and benefit design strategies.
Hogan Lovells will host a complimentary 60-minute webinar on April 7, 2015, that will recap the two-day program and highlight key takeaways relevant to both providers and payers in this changing healthcare environment.
