ICC UK's Annual Arbitration Practitioners' Symposium

08 July 2010 - 09 July 2010 London

As the World Cup continues in South Africa, ICC Uk's Annual Arbitration Practitioners' Symposium has an elite team to tackle some of the most significant issues in international arbitration.  This special event offers the opportunity to hear distinguished speakers from South Africa, Nigeria and Mauritius, three of the most active African jurisdictions in the arbitration market; looks at the particular challenges of, and significant developments in, investment treaty arbitration involving African States; and assesses whether changes are required in the rules of the game.

The conference will also feature a unique opportunity to hone your advocacy and case management skills, as a panel discusses "What Happened Next", in a practical presentation of how both arbitrators and counsel can struggle to maintain control at the oral hearing stage of an arbitration.

The Line up includes:

Des Williams, Werksmans, Johannesburg
Tunde Fagbohunlu SAN, Aluko & Oyebode, Lagos
Salim Moollan, Essex Court Chambers
Audley Sheppard, Clifford Chance
Professor Vaughan Lowe QC, Essex Court Chambers
