Global Policy Advocacy Practice Co-Sponsors Brussels Discussion on TTIP

17 September 2013

On 17 September, our Global Policy Advocacy practice co-sponsored a lively discussion on the challenges and perspectives of the Transatlantic Free Trade and Investment Partnership agreement (TTIP), attended by our senior advisor Ambassador Hugo Paemen (former EU Ambassador to the United States); Mr. Claes Bengtsson, Member of Cabinet of the European Trade Commissioner; and Mr. Reinhard Bütikofer MEP.

The debate was moderated by Mr. Joshua Chaffin, EU Correspondent for the Financial Times, and was followed by questions and discussions.

Our Global Policy Advocacy (GPA) Team

The TTIP debate followed an afternoon of intensive discussions between members of our GPA core group, which discussed how best to position and promote the practice in the wider firm. The role of our GPA practice is to assist clients in identifying emerging policy risks and opportunities as well engaging with decision-makers to shape policy and governmental decisions to their advantage. Working with both business and government, our GPA professionals are able to bring to bear policy insights and hard-edged legal arguments to deliver real results on business-critical matters.
