Digital Competition and Big Data Seminar

Hogan Lovells partner Sabrina Borocci has contributed in organizing and will speak at the University of Milan during the Digital Competition and Big Data seminar organized by Concorrenze.

The seminar will explore new trends in competition law in the digital sector. Panelists will talk about German Facebook case (e.g. data issues, exploitative abuses, competition law and privacy law) and Google Shopping cases (e.g. self-preferencing, possibly vertical issues) from different perspective and in their different roles. In round tables, they will discuss the harm caused by conduct affecting digital competition in an economic and societal sense, the desirability of a recourse to regulation, its interface with competition law enforcement and the possible ways to regulation and/or remedies, and modifications to current laws and regulations, which should or could be implemented to tackle certain issues.
