07 May 2013 12:15 PM - 2:00 PM (CST)
Hong Kong

Regulators continue to bullishly target bank mis-selling but the Hong Kong courts have rallied to the side of the banks in the recent cases of Kwok Wai Hing Selina v HSBC and DBS v San Hot HK Industrial Company Limited.

In this seminar, we will look at the past, present and future of the law of mis-selling, with a detailed examination of the findings in the English High Court and Court of Appeal decisions in Springwell Navigation Corp v JP Morgan Chase Bank, its implications in the context of the current state of the law in Hong Kong as reflected in Selina and San Hot, and practical tips for managing the next mis-selling crisis.
