Consumer Protection Conference

This biennial conference will focus on the future of consumer protection, privacy, and advertising laws.  Speakers will include representatives from the FTC, DOJ, State Attorneys General Offices, judges, scholars economists, industry, consumer advocates, and legal practitioners. Conference topics will include:

  • consumer protection enforcement priorities as we begin a new Presidential administration
  • privacy law enforcement in the next decade, state and federal
  • the role of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in the consumer protection ecosystem
  • hot topics in private advertising litigation
  • mobile advertising: protecting privacy and consumer choice
  • marketing to children
  • practical advice on avoiding and dealing with federal and state (multistate) investigations
