Collective Actions for Damages recent developments in the Netherlands and Germany

Our German Competition Litigation team regularly hosts webinars on different corporate litigation topics.

Both, the Netherlands and Germany are important venues for cartel damages claims in the EU. In our webinar we will take a closer look on collective actions for such claims in both jurisdictions:

–On 19 March 2019, the Dutch Senate approved legislation introducing collective damages actions which will be a new tool for cartel damages claims in the Netherlands. Carlijn will talk about these new rules and how they relate to the already existing assignment model for cartel damages cases.

– In Germany, there is no such general legislation on collective actions. However, assignment models and other options to bundle cartel damages claims take an important role. Lisa will give an overview about such options focusing on recent developments in law and case law.
