A class action regime in Hong Kong - implications for business

25 June 2012 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (CST)
Hong Kong

Hogan Lovells Litigation, Arbitration and Employment team invites you to attend a seminar to discuss the recent proposals for class actions in Hong Kong.
On 28 May, the Law Reform Commission published a report proposing that a mechanism for class actions should be adopted in Hong Kong. The report is the result of a long running public consultation and proposes the introduction of a comprehensive regime for class actions to enhance access to justice by means of an efficient, well-defined and workable mechanism.
We will discuss:

  • the proposed class action regime
  • the (perceived) pros and cons
  • the implications for business in Hong Kong
