9th Annual BCLT Privacy Law Forum

Partner Tim Tobin will share insights on international aspects of privacy protection and enforcement at the 9th Annual BCLT Privacy Law Forum.

Bridging academia and practice, this full-day online conference will bring together in-house counsel from leading tech companies, practicing lawyers, regulators, privacy advocates, and academics. Faculty from the UC Berkeley School of Law will share their latest research and analysis, and leading privacy experts from law firms, companies, and government agencies will offer fresh insight and practical advice on meeting urgent privacy challenges.

Keynote speakers: The Hon. Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, FTC Commissioner, and Alastair Mactaggart, architect of the California Consumer Privacy Act and the pending privacy rights ballot initiative.

Hot topics to be addressed will include the latest developments in California privacy law, strategies for cross-border data flows after Schrems II, and website scraping after the hiQ decision. The always popular practitioners’ panel will present actionable insights on recent developments as well as predictions for future directions of the law.

UC Berkeley School of Law will offer Continuing Legal Education and IAPP credit for this event. 5.75 hours of CLE will be offered.
