11th ABA National Institute on the Civil False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement

8 June 2016 - 10 June 2016

Partners Jonathan Diesenhaus and Michael Theis will be speakers at the 11th ABA National Institute on the Civil False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement on June 8 through 10 at The Park Hyatt in Washington, D.C.

Civil False Claims Act (FCA) litigation is rapidly expanding in federal courts across the country, spurred by its unique qui tam enforcement mechanism and the prospects of large cash rewards for whistleblowers. With two major cases pending in the U.S. Supreme Court and the prospect of a statutory doubling of per claim penalties looming before the end of the summer, that trend is only likely to continue. The ABA's 11th National Institute will bring together experts from all areas—USDOJ, state AGs, federal agencies, and leading defense and plaintiff firms—to discuss this rapidly developing area of litigation and enforcement.
