Evan M. Hellman
Evan Hellman represents a wide range of clients in the healthcare industry, including academic medical centers, nonprofit hospitals and health systems, nursing homes, home health agencies, managed long-term care plans, and healthcare start-ups.
Always thinking about how clients can leverage opportunity in an ever-shifting healthcare regulatory environment, Evan counsels clients on transactional matters, working with them on mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and system restructurings. In addition, Evan advises on regulatory issues that affect both the long-term goals and the day-to-day operations of clients, including scope of practice questions, compliance, board/governance counseling, and federal, state, and local change of ownership issues.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Evan worked at a national law firm where his practice focused on advising healthcare clients on regulatory matters and tax-exempt counseling. While in law school, Evan was a legal intern at a major health system, an experience that gave him valuable perspective on how healthcare providers conduct operations, manage risk, and maintain high-quality care.
