Marc Elvinger, the head of our corporate practice, specialises in corporate law (including private and public M&A, corporate restructurings, etc.) with a particular focus on international structures particularly in the field of private equity and real estate. He was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2001. After practicing for 16 years with the largest Luxembourg independent law firm, including 7 years as a partner, he joined Hogan Lovells as corporate partner of the Luxembourg office in 2017. Since then, he heads the corporate practice of Hogan Lovells in Luxembourg.

Marc regularly speaks at seminars and is member of the drafting committee of the Bulletin d'Information de Jurisprudences.  Marc  is a member of various associations, including notably the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA) and a committee member of the CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe). He was also a member and later chairman of the Luxembourg Young Bar Association (Conférence du Jeune Barreau de Luxembourg).

Representative experience

Advised M&G on the Luxembourg corporate aspects of the EUR 94.1 million acquisition of a central Berlin office asset by a Luxembourg SPV.

Advised the French cosmetics brand L’Occitane regarding corporate aspects of its 60% investment in LimeLight by Alcone.

Advised Charterhouse capital on its 60% acquisition of Serb (Belgian pharmaceuticals business) which reported EUR 65 million in revenue in 2016.

Advised ACON in the acquisition of the Spanish Contenur, active in conteners and bins, through a Luxembourg investment and financing platform.

Advised Pantheon Ventures in relation to its investment in renewable energy assets, located in Western Europe, through multiple Luxembourg companies.

Advised listed U.S. company PerkinElmer, on the acquisition of EUROIMMUN Medizinische Labordiagnostika for EUR 1.2 billion, by way of a share deal.

Advised CNP Patrimoine regarding the acquisition of the asset management platform Quality Insurance Services (QIS) which is managing its French and Luxembourg insurance contracts.
