Duncan S. Klinedinst
Duncan Klinedinst has a long line of experience helping clients with a wide variety of complex commercial and financing transactions. He is involved in a broad range of domestic and cross-border commercial transactions.
Utilizing his decades of experience, Duncan assists clients in making practical solutions to issues that may arise in complex transactions. He enjoys a close working relationship with the firm's lawyers in other practice areas, which enables him to obtain advice on regulatory and tax issues where needed.
He advises clients in aircraft and other equipment financing and has represented lessors, manufacturers, lenders, and lessees in leveraged lease transactions, single investor leases, cross-border leases, synthetic leases, and operating leases. Duncan's practice includes representing aviation clients in workouts and voluntary and involuntary repossessions of aircraft. This work includes domestic and international insolvency and restructuring matters.
Duncan regularly represents aviation clients on the purchase and sale of new and used aircraft, including representation of aircraft operators and leasing companies in multi-aircraft acquisitions from airframe manufacturers, leasing companies, and operators. In connection with his representation of aircraft purchases, he has significant experience in advising clients on pre-delivery financing arrangements. He also has represented aviation clients in connection with aircraft completion and modification agreements.
Duncan has also represented clients in various lending transactions, including asset-based loans and revolving credit facilities. He has vast experience in a wide range of equipment financing arrangements, including vendor financing arrangements for many different asset types. He has also represented equipment leasing companies on portfolio sales and joint ventures.
Duncan has been with the firm since his graduation from law school. Prior to law school, Duncan was an equity investment analyst in the Trust Department of one of the largest banks in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Advising VIP aircraft operator on purchase of 747 Aircraft from commercial operator and contract arrangements relating to conversion to VIP interior.
