Craig Downhill is a senior associate and experienced member of our Real Estate Disputes practice. He acts for a wide range of clients, including institutional investors, developers, retailers, and real estate funds. He works closely with members of our real estate, planning, and finance teams.

He advises and represents our clients across a broad spectrum of contentious property matters ranging from specific performance and other injunctive relief, the construction, implementation and termination of development agreements, the recovery of possession of commercial and residential properties, the effect of property vesting in the Crown as bona vacantia, interim and terminal dilapidations claims, opposed and unopposed lease renewals, non-payment of rent and service charge, liability of former tenants and guarantors, and alienation. He has a particular interest in insolvency related matters, providing advice and assistance to both insolvency practitioners and landlords.

He works with clients to try and avoid matters becoming litigious, but where they do Craig has significant experience in representing clients both before the Courts at all levels as well in other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
