Moscow makes movements in LGBTQ

Our Moscow Pride+ Club, a local arm of the global Pride+ network, ran an event with Ty Cobb, Director of Global at Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRCF), the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the United States, and also the largest in the world.

Welcoming Ty Cobb to the Moscow office to discuss LGBTQ civil rights in Russia delivered a message that the firm stands up for equality and freedom of its employees in every part of the world we do business in, regardless of highly challenging political and cultural environments.

The event was introduced by Alexey Kozlov, a co-chair of the Moscow Pride+ Club, followed by a presentation from Ty Cobb about the HRCF's work around ensuring the safety of LGBTQ people, including refugees and immigrants all over the world. The lively discussion with our Moscow staff was also enjoyed by members of our New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, and Madrid offices, all who joined by Lync.

An event of this style has been the first of its kind to deal with LGBTQ issues in Moscow, and we look forward to introducing a series of similar events with high-profile speakers in the future.
