Diego Perez Ara
Diego Perez Ara brings a unique perspective to his International Arbitration practice. Not only does he have an extensive understanding of Latin American issues, but he also has the ability to litigate cases in both English and Spanish, and he is qualified to practice in New York and Venezuela. Diego helps clients navigate between the civil and common law systems. Since joining the firm, Diego has been an active member of our pro bono practice, focusing on the representation of death row inmates during their post-conviction proceedings.
Diego broadened his knowledge of international litigation and administrative law by working as a litigation associate in a Venezuelan law firm. He also acted as legal counsel for a major British Oil company in Venezuela. While at law school, Diego was a research assistant for International Arbitrator William W. Park.
