Marie Devereux is an associate in our International Arbitration and Construction & Engineering practice.

Marie began her career in the Hogan Lovells Hong Kong office where she advised local and international clients on arbitration, court and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Now based in the London office, Marie continues to focus on commercial and construction dispute resolution. She brings extensive experience in contractual disputes and has acted for clients globally in a variety of industries including in the infrastructure, energy, construction and technology sectors.

Advising a major statutory body in disputes against its main contractor in relation to the construction of a public infrastructure project.

Representing a developer in an arbitration against its main contractor in relation to defective works in the development of a luxury residential property in Macau.

Acting for a South Korean internet services company in a dispute with a Taiwanese software company in relation to the payment of license fees and royalties.

Representing the owner in a US$130m arbitration against its consultant in relation to the design of a water park project.

Acting for a listed Chinese technology company in a dispute relating to the licensing of a software game to a distributor.

Representing a heavy equipment company in an arbitration concerning the exercise of a put option.

Acting for a lubricants distributor in an ICC arbitration against the manufacturer and supplier in relation to a mining project in Mongolia.
