As a partner of the Hogan Lovells Hong Kong office and a director of Hogan Lovells Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Co., Deanna Wong has been in this field for more than 15 years. She first qualified in New Zealand (with a law degree and a science degree in biochemistry and genetic molecular biology) and has been in Greater China since 1999.
Focusing on the international aspect of the firm's IP asset management, commercial exploitation, development and enforcement of different types of intellectual property rights. She is also responsible for Hogan Lovells Beijing IP and the Registration practice in Greater China. She handles both contentious and non contentious IP work and is experienced in multi-jurisdictional/multi faceted IP strategies. With her science background, she also advises and coordinates the clients' commercial exploitation of their technology portfolio.
Advising on non-traditional trade mark applications including geographical indications and certification marks on behalf of global watch manufacturers.
