Anthea is a Senior Associate in the Products Law team at Hogan Lovells. Her areas of focus include 'post-market' product safety issues including compliance matters, corrective actions and recalls, in addition to product safety regulatory and compliance advice at all stages of the product life-cycle.

Anthea has a broad client base, and her clients include technology companies, and consumer goods companies (manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers) in the toys, cosmetics, sports/leisure and home appliances industries. She has extensive experience advising clients on the EU and global product safety regulatory framework with a particular emphasis in managing international product safety issues (corrective actions/recalls) with Hogan Lovells' vast network of local offices and local counsel.

With a focus on providing meaningful advice for her clients, Anthea provides advice that considers not only the legal implications, but also the commercial and practical impacts on the business.

Representative experience

Co-ordinating complex, large-scale international corrective actions for a number of manufacturers in the technology, home appliances and consumer goods sectors.

Advising on regulatory obligations for products placed on the market which are not compliant with applicable EU legislation.

Advising clients and liaising with Regulators in circumstances where market surveillance authorities have identified an alleged product safety/compliance issue.

Acting for several US-based technology companies in relation to the development and launch of innovative electrical and electronic products on the EU market.

Co-ordinating  surveys of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Working alongside litigation colleagues, in a matter involving a global product safety corrective action.
