Joel H. Dankwa provides clients with comprehensive solutions to their diverse and multifaceted challenges. Joel leverages his experience in both policy and clinical settings to create meaningful solutions to clients' issues in healthcare and the life sciences.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Joel served as a policy analyst and mediator within the Health Care Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, under Martha Coakley. Joel assisted health care providers, payers, state agencies, and consumers in navigating the changing health care landscape. During law school, Joel also helped early-stage health care and biotechnology companies navigate start-up legal issues and other matters related to their go-to-market strategies.

Joel's research on the impact of diabetes on cardiovascular disease has been published, and he was a senior editor for The Regulatory Review, a publication on law, policy, and regulation. He also served as associate editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law. Additionally, he served as law school class officer and student body treasurer.

Joel was awarded a certificate in Business Economics and Public Policy from The Wharton School.

In addition, Joel enjoys writing and producing music, as well as hiking and boxing.
