Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Danielle has been involved in significant high-profile M&A transactions both locally and across the African continent. She focuses on all aspects of corporate law with specific emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, equity capital markets, cross-border transactions as well as local stock exchange requirements.

Over the years Danielle has concentrated on gaining in-depth knowledge and understanding of the black economic empowerment legislative and regulatory framework across all sectors within the South African context. She advises both local and international listed and unlisted corporate entities, and is widely considered to be a leading BEE transactional M&A lawyer.

Danielle acts for many large local and international clients such as Acino International AG, Italtile Limited and Hill International.

Representing First Uranium Limited in relation to the US$335m disposal of Mine Waste Solutions to AngloGold Ashanti Limited.

Representing a Mauritian company in the US$35.1m disposal of mining equipment located in the Democratic Republic of Congo to a company incorporated in the DRC. 

Representing an offshore entity in the ZAR2bn disposal of its effective shareholding in a South African mining company to a third party purchaser. 

Representing First Uranium Corporation in relation to the US$70m disposal of the Ezulwini Gold Mine to Gold One International Limited. 

Representing Kapela Fund 1 in its acquisition of a 25.1% equity stake in SPX Flow Technology Proprietary Limited. 

Representing Keaton Energy Holdings Limited (JSE listed) in its acquisition of a controlling interest in Leeuw Mining and Exploration and its financial restructuring.

Representing London Stock Exchange-listed 600 Group PLC in the ZAR24m disposal of its entire shareholding in 600SA Holdings to JSE-listed Eqstra Holdings Limited.

Representing management in the ZAR120m disposal of a controlling interest in a logistics company to a JSE-listed company.
