Dan Levisohn advises his clients on complex commercial transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and corporate structuring and reorganizations. He also works with fund sponsors to launch and maintain private investment funds, and advises investors on their private fund investments.

Dan's favorite part of practicing law is learning about his clients' unique businesses and working collaboratively to achieve their business goals. Companies have relied upon him for some of their most challenging transactions – be it negotiating a new development joint venture as part of a long-term strategic partnership or advising a special committee of the board of directors in the sale of a real estate investment trust to its external investment advisor. He has worked with companies from a wide range of industries, including real estate, manufacturing, finance, insurance, and telecommunications.

Dan also maintains an active pro bono practice in which he advises nonprofits on matters ranging from labor and employment to board governance.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Dan was an associate at another international law firm in Washington, D.C. In law school, he was an articles editor of the Minnesota Law Review. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as a reporter and editor in Seattle and New York City.
