Chiara Conte is an Italian qualified lawyer and she advises on all aspects of European competition law, including cartels, anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominant position and merger control. She has experience across a broad range of industries, including TMT, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, and postal services.

Chiara regularly advises clients on distribution law issues and helps them implement antitrust compliance programs and conduct training. She assists clients in technology driven sectors on issues at the intersection of competition law and IP. In the context of merger control proceedings, she helps clients with multijurisdictional assessments and filings in front of competition authorities around the world.

Chiara has assisted with international cartel investigations before the European Commission, as well as internal compliance investigations.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Chiara practised in international law firms in Italy and Brussels, and worked as a trainee at the European Parliament. In addition, in the context of a client secondment, she was appointed as Acting Global Head of Investigations. In this role she was leading and coordinating investigations globally of potential breaches of company compliance policies and/or law.
