Carol focuses on general banking and is developing a practice in cross-border acquisition finance and structured finance. As a junior associate at Hogan Lovells, she has experience advising on bilateral and syndicated loans and has assisted in various types of financing transactions, including leveraged and acquisition cross-border finance and asset finance.

Growing up and having received education in Canada and Hong Kong, Carol is a native English and Cantonese speaker and a fluent Mandarin speaker. This allows Carol to advise clients on cross-border transactions and to communicate with clients effectively. Carol also has PRC experience from advising on finance transactions involving PRC security. She has also completed a secondment in the Hogan Lovells Beijing office during her traineeship.

Advising an Asian fund on an offshore and onshore secured financing made available by a syndicate of banks to finance the acquisition of a PRC property via an offshore share purchase.

Advising a syndicate of lending banks in relation to a US$250m revolving loan facility involving an outbound PRC guarantee.

Advising Citibank and DBS on the refinancing of two shopping centres in London acquired by EPF, a Malaysian pension fund.

Advising PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk in relation to a RMB63m revolving loan facility involving an inbound PRC guarantee.

Advising DVB BANK SE on Hong Kong security in relation to a term loan facility to finance the acquisition of two aircrafts.

Advised ANZ in relation to financing a leveraged recapitalisation of Geelong Sales Company group.

Advised ANZ in relation to the syndicated multi-currency secured term loan facilities and revolving loan facilities to the SeekAsia Limited group, to refinance the existing acquisition financing.
