Chiyokazu Shindo is a senior associate in the Hogan Lovells Corporate team in Tokyo and has extensive experience in corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, restructurings, capital raising and regulatory, with an emphasis on cross-border M&A and private equity matters.

Chiyokazu also regularly advises private companies on matters of corporate law. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he was regional counsel for Japan and Asia-Pacific at HOYA Corporation, a Tokyo-listed supplier and seller of high-tech and medical products.

At HOYA, Chiyokazu handled a wide range of legal matters, including successfully closing the company's strategic M&A deals across Japan and Asia-Pacific. Before joining HOYA, he worked in Frontier Management Inc., a management consultancy and M&A advisory company, and a Top 10 international law firm on M&A and related corporate matters.

Advising Nakayama Steel Works on the management buyout of its subsidiary, Nankai Chemical Co., Ltd.
