Cathy To is an associate in the finance team.  She focuses on cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters of a non-contentious and contentious nature.

Cathy advises financial institutions and investors on enforcement of security and insolvency matters. She has acted for many stakeholders in restructurings, including creditor groups, banks, trustees, liquidators and distressed companies.

Having been on client secondments in two banks, Cathy is aware of the needs and expectations of clients.  She is able to see problems from the client's point of view.

Representative experience

Advises provisional liquidators of Greens Holdings Limited on restructuring of the Hong Kong listed company.

Advises a group of corporate investors on enforcement steps to recover their US$160 million debt against a Chinese business.

Advises the security agent on unwinding the enforcement action against Rightway China Real Estate Limited's US$600 million debt liabilities.
