Carolin Stadtaus

Carolin Stadtaus resolves disputes for clients in mediation and litigation. Clients praise her for her passion in handling a variety of commercial disputes. She has an emphasis on antitrust damage proceedings. Carolin has a particular understanding of the automotive and aviation industries as well as the technology sector.

Carolin currently works from our London Office as part of the competition litigation team where she advises on a large scale cross-border antitrust damages case.

Carolin has a strong academic background in international private and civil procedure law as well as alternative dispute resolution. She is a commercial mediator (MuCDR). Still at university she was successful in two of the big global student competitions: the Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and Vienna as well as the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) Mediation Competition in Paris.

Carolin has been with Hogan Lovells from the get go of her legal career: When she first became part of our Munich Litigation Team in 2008, she was a student. She went on to complete the majority of her legal training with Hogan Lovells. Carolin has also previously worked within our London International Arbitration Team. She is a member of the German American Lawyers' Association (DAJV) and DIS40. Her academic record began with studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and was completed with her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich.

She also works passionately on our Community Investment and Diversity Initiatives: she is a mentor in our Flagship program 'Debate It!' where we teach young people public speaking. Carolin helps her students develop critical thinking skills and deepen their knowledge of current affairs. She also organises Diversity events in our Munich office.
