Dr. Carla Wiedeck
Carla Wiedeck covers a wide range of legal fields and advises clients from various industries, as diverse as companies from the air freight, technology, retail and catering sectors. She focuses on corporate and antitrust litigations, especially in respect of manager's liability.
Carla studied law at the Universities of Freiburg and Grenoble (France). During her studies, Carla gained extensive experience not only in civil, but also in commercial criminal and particularly public commercial law – working as a research assistant at the University of Freiburg where she received a Ph.D. in law.
Before qualifying as a lawyer in 2014, Carla completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Düsseldorf. During this time, she deepened her knowledge in commercial public and antitrust law while clerking for the European Commission and gained industry insights when she worked for a major German energy supplier.
Since 2010, Carla has been acting as mentor for Justitia Mentoring, the women mentoring programme of the law faculty of the University of Freiburg. She continues this engagement in her professional life and forms part of several international women's networks.
Advising and representing an international airline in proceedings regarding to antitrust damages claims arising from the European Commission's decision regarding the Air Cargo cartel.
Advising an international franchisee in various disputes concerning corporate, real estate and franchise matters.
Defending a German medical engineering company against claims from owners of participation certificates (Genussscheine) and shareholders.
