Michael Burns focuses his practice on both commercial and complex civil litigation across all industries and has a depth of experience finding creative solutions for clients. During the most difficult disputes, his clients and colleagues alike have lauded Mike for his keen attention to detail and tireless work ethic.

A native of Baltimore, Mike recently returned to the city and joined Hogan Lovells after practicing at an international law firm in Washington, D.C., where he focused on complex civil litigation and cross-border white collar investigations. He previously served as law clerk to a judge sitting on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.

During law school at Georgetown University, Mike competed as a member of the Barristers' Council trial advocacy team that won a national mock trial competition.
