Brent Singley

Brent Singley brings a pragmatic approach to getting deals done. He is an experienced corporate lawyer who regularly guides clients through complex, strategic transactions. As a partner in our Northern Virginia office, Brent focuses on mergers and acquisitions.

In particular, he advises on auctions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. He helps clients navigate public and private acquisitions and divestitures, domestic and international transactions, corporate reorganizations, investments, and financings.

Twice recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, Brent has managed deals in industries that include government services, automotive, senior living, healthcare, energy, technology, and aerospace.

Previously, Brent was a certified public accountant at Deloitte & Touche, where he provided audit services to a variety of clients, including real estate partnerships and government service providers.

Advising auto parts maker Affinia Group in the divestiture of its global brake, chassis, and filtration businesses for more than US$1.5bn.

Advising MAXIMUS in its US$300m acquisition of Acentia, a provider of technology and management solutions to the U.S. federal government.

Advising BayBridge Seniors Housing in the sale of a portfolio of senior living facilities to a publicly traded REIT.

Advising SunEdison in its acquisition of 50% of Silver Ridge Power from an affiliate of The AES Corporation.

Advising Cobham plc in its US$350m sale of its U.S. headquartered Analytic Solutions Business to Parsons Corporation.

Advising NextEra Energy Resources in its US$1.05bn sale of four power plants to LS Power.

Advising Ford Motor Company in the sale of Volvo Cars to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Company Limited for US$1.8bn.

Advising GE Healthcare Financial Services in its US$1.4bn acquisition of six senior housing portfolios.

Advising Fox Cable Networks in the acquisition of the Turner South cable television channel.

Advising The DIRECTV Group, Inc. in the formation of the Hughes Network Systems, LLC joint venture and the sale of HNS's VSAT business.

Advising King Pharmaceuticals in its public company acquisitions of Medco Research Inc. and Jones Pharma Incorporated.
