Brenda Lui

Brenda Lui is an Intellectual Property solicitor. After receiving her LLB in 2006 from the University of New South Wales and the PCLL in 2007 from the City University of Hong Kong, Brenda was admitted to practice in Hong Kong in 2009. She joined the Hogan Lovells intellectual property, media & technology team as an associate in 2009. Brenda was also admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2010.

She focuses on dispute resolution relating to copyright, trademark and passing off which include licensing disputes and company name hijacking cases. Brenda regularly advises major game hardware, software and electronic product manufacturers in anti-counterfeiting strategies which include taking civil action and working with the Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department in criminal enforcement actions. She also has experience in advising clients on copyright licensing disputes, company name hijacking actions and alternative dispute resolution strategies.

Brenda has co-authored numerous articles regarding data protection, telecommunications and intellectual property issues arising from the use of technology.
