Intellectual Property

Alya is an associate in the IPMT department. Her legal practice focuses on the litigation and transactional aspects of intellectual property law (patent, trademark, copyright and unfair competition/parasitism).

Alya was admitted to the Paris Bar in October 2013. She holds a master's degree (Master 2) in Intellectual Property Law from the CEIPI and an LL.M. "Innovation, Technology and the Law" from the University of Edinburgh. 

Before joining Hogan Lovells in February 2016, Alya worked in an English law firm specializing in media and IT. She is a member of the French Association of European Patent Practitioners (APEB).

Representative experience

Advising and assisting a manufacturer of construction goods in relation to a patent and designs infringement and unfair competition claim.

Advising and assisting an international cosmetics group in relation to an unfair business practice litigation.

Advising and assisting a fitness company to act against the genericization of its trademarks and the reproduction of its brand image by third parties.

Advising and assisting an airport group during an intellectual property rights audit on a company specializing in software development.

Advising and assisting an American software and mobile phone company in several litigations related to the payment of the private copying levy.*
