U.S. Health IT Policy Committee to Hold Hearing and Seek Public Comment on HIPAA Accounting of Disclosure Requirements
Health care providers, payers, innovators, business associates, and patient advocates will provide stakeholder testimony at the hearing. The Committee is also inviting the public to provide written responses to discussion questions through the blog of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. In addition, the Committee has allotted 15 minutes to hear public comments at the end of the hearing, from 4:45pm to 5:00pm EDT. The Privacy Committee of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics' Subcommittee on Privacy, Confidentiality and Security and the HIT Standards Committee's Privacy and Security Work Group will also participate in the hearing.
