On July 24, 2012, the Northern Virginia Office of Hogan Lovells will host the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association's Government Contractors Forum entitled, "Commercial Item Government Contracting - To Be (Commercial), Or Not To Be (Commercial), That Is the Question."

Hogan Lovells Hosts WMACCA Government Contractors Forum on Commercial Item ContractingMichael F. Mason, a Partner in our Government Contracts Practice, will join a panel of procurement law experts discussing the top compliance risks faced by companies that sell commercial items to the federal government. The panelists will analyze current trends in commercial item contracting and focus on the highest risk areas, including: DoD’s recent push to narrow the FAR definition of "commercial item"; GSA Federal Supply Schedule Commercial Sales Practices disclosures and Price Reductions clause risks; and current areas of government audit focus. The program will include practical advice and best practices to help corporate counsel mitigate commercial item contracting risk.
