Following a career as a partner whose practice focused on high value international commercial disputes, often on behalf of and between prominent individuals, Rod Baker is now a Hogan Lovells Consultant taking a lead role on a number of the firm's contentious or investigatory pro bono cases.
These cases include leading Hogan Lovells work assisting affected individuals providing evidence to the Irish Mother & Baby Homes Commission of Investigation and developing an archive of information that will enable collective submissions to be made to the Commission. The whole issue of the Mother & Baby Homes became a hot issue following the hit book and film "Philomena" in 2013 and Philomena Lee herself is supporting the project.
Rod is part of the Hogan Lovells team that advises the International Paralympic Committee and the British Paralympic Association.
Rod, and the Hogan Lovells pro bono team, also handle matters for clients who cannot afford or obtain legal representation in cases involving discrimination, trafficking and breaches of national minimum wage applications.
