Andy Bagnell has assisted with wide-ranging investigations for clients around the world, including complex international disputes involving export controls and sanctions, anti-bribery, and other compliance issues. Andy leverages his experience assisting with internal investigations and responding to enforcement actions to proactively advise clients when building and enhancing their internal compliance programs.

When dealing with cross-border investigations, Andy relies on his prior experience living in Asia and ability to speak Chinese, which give him unique insight into the challenges faced by companies in Asia when dealing with the complexities of global legal disputes. These challenges, including issues involving privilege, state secrets, and data privacy, require the unique experience and background that Andy is able to bring to his matters.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Andy spent six years on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, including positions as a prosecutor and advising commanders on military and international law. Andy continues that service in his pro bono work representing veterans with disability appeals.
