Ayanda Nondwana focuses on commercial and insurance litigation with a special emphasis on directors’ and officers' liability, professional indemnity claims, personal injury claims, product liability and general public liability litigation.

He has right of appearance in the High Court and predominantly makes his own appearance and drafts pleadings and notices independent of counsel.

Ayanda prepared a guide on the implications of the Companies Act, 2018 as it relates to directors' and officers' liability.

In 2018 he was a finalist in the Rising Star Awards in the Professional Services category.

Advising the National Health Laboratory Service in relation to the investigations conducted by it in connection with a listeriosis outbreak.

Representing a brokerage firm in recovering damages of ZAR80m due to a failed transaction against an insurer, business rescue practitioner and its attorneys.

Represented a small cap insurer in a contentious dispute relating to a transfer of business with one of the leading long-term insurers.

Advised a state-owned company in a policy coverage dispute regarding a fidelity guarantee insurance policy wherein the insurer rejected the claim of ZAR18m.

Advised the Limpopo Economic Development Agency on its appointment as licence holder for a special economic zone and drafting a supply chain management policy.

Represented an organ of state in arbitration proceedings for a damages claim for alleged breach of contract, involving the interpretation of complex legal principles.

Successfully represented the Road Accident Fund in defending a constitutional challenge to Regulation 2(4) of the Road Accident Fund Act 56 of 1996.

Advised the Road Accident Fund in connection with the financial model of the proposed Road Accident Fund Benefit Scheme.
