Asmaa Awad-Farid focuses her practice on cybersecurity, data privacy, crisis management, and internal and regulatory investigations. She advises on the full life cycle of enterprise risks associated with information security – including ransomware, phishing, and malware.
She regularly advises clients on aligning practices and programs with various U.S. and global cybersecurity and privacy regulatory and legal requirements, including the the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NY Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) Cybersecurity Regulation, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and state insurance laws. Asmaa counsels clients on cyber risk management, information governance, and data breach notification requirements.
