Arthur Rodrigues do Amaral
From multi-billion dollar cross-border M&A transactions to one of the largest IPOs in the history of Brazil, Arthur Amaral has been involved in some of the largest, high-profile and award-winning corporate and capital markets and private equity deals in recent times.
A Brazilian-qualified lawyer who has also spent significant time honing his legal and financial skills at top universities in the United States and Europe, Arthur helps clients successfully navigate the country's complex legal system and execute all sorts of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint ventures and strategic alliances, corporate reorganizations, subordinated debt repurchases, and liability management.
He earned his law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, one of the top law schools in Brazil, and his MBA (in Economics, Investments and Financial Sector) from Universidade de São Paulo (FEA-USP). He also spent a few summers studying at topflight schools Harvard, Columbia, UCLA, London Schools of Economics, Phillips Academy Andover, and Phillips Exeter Academy.
Arthur is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Hogan Lovells Latin America Practice Group Newsletter. He is an appointed member of the Capital Markets and Corporate Governance special commission of the Brazilia Bar Association, São Paulo chapter (OAB/SP). Arthur is also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Committee (CJE) and Young Entrepreneurs Economic Committee (CEJE) from the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).
