Anne-Laure Judlin de Hemptinne

As an associate in our Paris Litigation Group, Anne-Laure Judlin de Hemptinne focuses her practice on product liability and commercial litigation. Her experience notably includes contract disputes, products liability, business and mass torts, health regulations and multijurisdictional proceedings.

She has a deep understanding of the life sciences industry which allows her to anticipate and address the needs of pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and medical devices manufacturers throughout the life cycle of their products. Anne-Laure represents our clients in civil, commercial and administrative proceedings – as well as investigations – relating to product liability, commercial disputes and life sciences regulations.

She undertook international studies so as to satisfy her drive for an international career. She graduated from Columbia Law School with honours (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) and completed courses at The Hague Academy of International Law and the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Anne-Laure is an active participant in Hogan Lovells' Citizenship activities. She regularly publishes articles in the International Product Liability Review, Thomson Reuters' Practical Law Newsletter and other legal journals.

She is also a former ballerina and a certified Bikram yoga teacher.

Representative Experience

Defense of TÜV Rheinland against liability claims resulting from allegedly inappropriate certification of breast implant manufacturer P.I.P.

We co-ordinate at pan-European level the defense of product liability claims concerning one vaccine and we defend the French cases relating to this vaccine.

Assisting a major pharmaceutical group on potential liability arising out of the renegotiation of a co-development agreement.
