Amran Hanif

A significant portion of Amran's practice is representing managers in the formation, raising, maintenance and on-going operation and compliance of private equity, debt, infrastructure and real estate funds. He has successfully led a number of start-up ventures, most notably in the private equity realm, through to their launch in the past 18 months.

Amran has a substantial practice representing institutional investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and insurance companies in their global investment programs.

Drawing on his corporate transactional background with financial institutions, Amran is active in advising clients on secondary transactions and structured co-investments working closely with his corporate, tax and infrastructure global colleagues.

Representative experience

Advising InfraRed Capital Partners on establishing a yield fund that raised over £500m to acquire a fully seeded and diversified portfolio of operational infrastructure assets.

Advising Threadneedle on establishing nine real estate funds, in partnership with Citi, for the UK Property Equity Club, raising aggregate in excess of £500m.

Advising Aviva Investors on establishing Aviva Investors UK Commercial Real Estate Senior Debt Fund, which has raised in excess of £280m after two closings.

Advising a large Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund on their US$115bn alternatives investment programme with a particular focus on private equity.

Advising a leading UK institutional investor on the sale of 14 private equity fund interests to six different buyers for approximately US$300m.

Advising Foundation Investment Partners and FastTrack Investment Partners on the establishment of their private equity businesses and the launches of their first funds.
