His current practice covers the full range of corporate / M&A matters with an accent on cross-border transactions, including negotiating, drafting complex legal documentation and advising on private equity deals, joint ventures, corporate governance structures, restructurings as well as general counselling on securities laws. Kai also gained considerable experience in advising on and assisting in managing two initial public offerings on Euronext Amsterdam and a listing on the prime standard market in Frankfurt.
Acquiring in-depth knowledge for clearing M&A transactions from a competition law perspective, Kai started as a merger control lawyer in 2012, advising on a high-profile merger control case in the German telecom industry, including the second phase merger control investigation by the European Commission, and leading to clearance and closing of the M&A deal concerned.
