Allen W. Hubsch

With more than 25 years' of experience in real estate law, Allen Hubsch is known for being attentive, responsive, and flexible, with an intuitive understanding of his clients' needs. Clients rely on his knowledge of purchasing, sales and financing -- including multi-property and multi-jurisdictional transactions, both within California and in deals involving other states.

Allen frequently represents tenants and landlords in connection with leases for retail, industrial, and other types of property. He also advises clients on commercial contracts and financing, land use, property tax, easements and rights-of-way, formation of partnerships and joint ventures, foreclosure and creditors' rights, bankruptcy issues affecting leases and financings, and government contracting. His ability to handle the unusual and to anticipate complications before they arise allows him to get the job done efficiently every time.

In addition to his general practice, Allen has developed a wealth of experience in the entertainment, technology, energy, infrastructure, water rights, and natural resources sectors.

Advised a national movie theatre operator in connection with acquisitions of theatre circuits throughout the U.S.

Successfully helped a multiplex theatre operator navigate a controversy with several landlords and other parties.

Advised a lender in connection with the foreclosure of a film studio.

Advised an operator of communications satellites in connection with the acquisition and management of Earth-based antenna facilities.

Advised a biotechnology company throughout the leasing process for its office and laboratory space.

Advised a lender in connection with a loan secured by a multi-state portfolio of horse racing tracks and facilities.

Guided a television network through the process of licensing its studio space to other production companies.

Advised the developer of the 550MW Desert Sunlight Solar Power Project in connection with US$1.46bn in project and term financing.

Guided the developer of a solar power project through the negotiation of leases from the California State Lands Commission.

Advised an investor with the proposed acquisition and privatization of a municipal airport and its conversion into an international cargo airport.

Advised a major oil company in connection with divestiture of all its offshore and onshore oil production facilities in California.

Successfully helped the operator of a gold mine to negotiate the modification of BLM land rights.

Advise the Non-Agricultural Pool Committee of the Chino Basin Watermaster on an ongoing basis.
