Dr. Alexander Stefan Rieger
Stefan Rieger's industry knowledge and experience combined with the management of cross-border teams regularly helps his clients to identify and settle the right questions in time in order to make their projects a success. Recognised for guiding clients through complex project developments and M&A transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors, his advice focuses on project structuring, contracts drafting/negotiating (EPC, O&M, SPA) as well as on related commercial and strategic issues.
In recent years, he has put a particular emphasis on the sale and acquisition of infrastructure and (renewable) energy assets as well as of loan portfolios secured by such assets, including power plants, wind farms and industrial parks. It is there, at the interface between classical projects and M&A work, where Stefan adds value rarely available in the market. In 2010, Stefan was seconded to the firm's Singapore office. He shares his know-how with others, being a guest lecturer at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz and regularly publishes articles on infrastructure related legal issues.
