Dr. Alexander Loos
Alexander has particular experience in the legal side of technical issues. He is frequently instructed to help in construction disputes, especially for power plants, transformer stations, PV installations and in solar power generation. He continuously advises on corporate structures and corporate governance for energy-related companies and plants, especially during the construction phase. Further, his team has vast experience in cross-border recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and for state court judgments. Alexander is of counsel in our office in Dusseldorf in Germany.
He is focused on commercial arbitration, domestic litigation for corporate and commercial disputes. He has considerable experience as arbitrator under ICC- and DIS-rules (more than 70 cases) and has been acting as counsel in more than 100 arbitrations (ICC, DIS, VIAC, LCIA and Ad Hoc). He has worked as foreign counsel in Latin America, in the US and in Japan. Many corporates and several auditing firms use to instruct him, because of his knowledgeable handling of D&O risks.
