Adriana V. Tibbitts
Adriana Tibbitts' knowledge of and focus on the life sciences industry helps her to identify practical, creative solutions to industry-specific problems. As an associate in our corporate practice group and member of our life sciences industry sector team, Adriana has worked extensively providing transactional, commercial, and corporate advice to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies at all stages of development.
A significant part of Adriana's practice is focused on licensing and collaboration arrangements, technology transfer, and other complex intellectual property-related transactions. She also advises clients in connection with other transactional matters, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and the acquisition of pharmaceutical royalty streams.
In addition to her transactional work, Adriana regularly drafts and negotiates commercial contracts specific to the life sciences industry, including manufacturing, co-promotion, material transfer, research, and clinical trial agreements. She has also represented venture capital funds and their portfolio companies in the life sciences industry on general corporate matters and equity and debt financings.
Adriana has been interested in healthcare since majoring in public health at Johns Hopkins University. While in law school, she was awarded a health law certificate for completing the law and healthcare program at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Prior to entering law school, Adriana traveled extensively across the United States as a trial clerk with the United States Tax Court.

Advise growth-stage companies, including TESARO and Rexahn Pharmaceuticals, with respect to commercial and corporate matters
