Keeping up with Antitrust, Competition and Economic regulations can be complex and time consuming. David has a deep understanding of these issues and he focuses his practice on all aspects of EU law, including competition law, State aid, merger control and cartels with special focus on competition issues in relation to regulated industries, energy and transport. David holds an LL.M in EU Competition law and is a graduate of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and University College London.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, David trained in the competition departments of our London office and of an international law firm in Paris.

Representative experience

Representing ALSTOM in the sale of its Power & Grid businesses to General Electric.

Represented ALSTOM in its acquisition of the signalling business unit of General Electric.

Represented the French State on restructuring measures granted to a company active in the PVC sector in a State aid investigation launched by the Commission.

Represented a manufacturer of domestic appliances on soft loans granted by the French State in a State aid investigation launched by the Commission.

Represented a large scale retailer on an article 101 investigation and settlement procedure before the Belgian Competition Authority.
